Accessibility at Calm Alarm
Calm Alarm is a free browser-based alarm clock. Everyone should be able to set and hear an alarm, regardless of how they browse.
Our aim
Calm Alarm aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we support
- Keyboard-only arming and dismissing: every alarm control can be reached and used with the Tab and Enter keys, without a mouse.
- 200% zoom: the page remains usable and readable when the browser is zoomed to 200%.
- Labelled buttons: interactive controls carry visible text labels or accessible names, so screen readers can announce them.
Known limitations
- The alarm rings only while the page stays open. Browsers do not allow a closed tab to play sound, so the tab must remain open for the alarm to ring.
